The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Streaking and Slumping Pitchers

Streaking

R.A. Dickey, New York Mets (5-0, 2.82 ERA)

The Mets knuckleballer has yet to taste defeat since joining the rotation in May. He’s undefeated in six starts with an ERA south of 3.00. In his most recent start, Dickey gave up two runs on seven hits while striking out seven batters in 6.0 innings of work for a 6-4 victory against the Cleveland Indians. That win was one of three victories on the road this year for the righty.

Ubaldo Jimenez, Colorado Rockies (13-1, 1.15 ERA)

Jimenez puts more distance between him and any other pitcher in the bigs, picking up win No. 13 in a one-run, eight-hit effort that equated to a 5-1 victory against the Minnesota Twins. The Rockies' right-hander has allowed two or fewer runs in all but one of his 14 starts and has blanked opposing batters in six outings this season.

Slumping

Brian Bannister, Kansas City Royals (6-5, 5.70 ERA)

Bannister’s season has taken a turn for the worse after winning five straight outings. In his last two games, the Royals righty has allowed 14 runs on 17 hits including three home runs. In his most recent trip to the bump, Bannister lasted just 4.0 innings after being knocked around for five runs on seven hits. He also has the lofty job of going up against Nationals super prospect Stephen Strasburg in DC Wednesday. Bannister is 1-4 with an 8.57 ERA on the road this season.

Kevin Correia, San Diego Padres (5-5, 5.27 ERA)

Correia is far from his red-hot start to the season. He has just one win in his last eight starts and has been inconsistent over his most recent trips to the hill. The Padres' right-hander has allowed 18 total earned runs over his last four appearances, holding a 1-1 mark in that span. In his most recent start, Correia was tagged for five runs in 5.0 innings including two home runs in a 7-1 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays last Wednesday. He’s given up at least one dinger in three of his last four starts.

Hot Lines: Today's best MLB bets

Atlanta Braves at Chicago White Sox (+105, 8.5)

Two weeks ago we were talking about how the South Siders were looking to trade all of their players and that the manager and GM were about to step into a boxing ring.

After the dust settled, the White Sox went on to win six straight and 10 of 11 games. Chicago came into Tuesday’s game versus Atlanta with a .500 record – the first time the team’s carried the mark since it was 1-1 on April 7.

"We are playing good baseball and just happened to be playing some National League teams that aren't thought of as major powers,” pitcher John Danks said of naysayers after Chicago defeated Washington and Pittsburgh on its recent road trip.

"It would be nice if we go out and play well against Atlanta, being that they are a first-place team and we will get more credit for what we are doing,” he added. “When it's all said and done, it's just a matter of winning.”

Even if the Chi-Sox are beating up on inferior MLB teams, this is a squad the baseball world had written off earlier this month. Now, the Sox are contenders in the AL Central, sitting 5.5 games behind the division-leading Twins.

Mark Buehrle has been pretty good in his last two starts after enduring a minor slump, winning two straight decisions while yielding two runs or fewer in each. The Bravos are hitting .241 against lefties this season.

Pick: White Sox

Florida Marlins at Baltimore Orioles (+110, 9)

When you’re on a team that’s 19-50, you might start thinking in terms of “me” instead of “team.”

It appears that’s the case with Baltimore outfielder Adam Jones. It was reported that after a 9-4 loss to the Padres over the weekend, Jones approached the scorer’s table and asked for his first-inning at-bat that led to an infield error be changed to a hit.

The official scorer obliged, but this could be a sign that players in the Orioles clubhouse have given up on the season and are only concerned about personal accomplishments. An incident like this may be overlooked had Baltimore won or was playing average ball, but this just highlights the team’s season struggles.

This is a pretty fair price for a decent squad like the Fins against a pathetic team like the O’s. Grab the short favorite in this matchup.

Pick: Marlins

Lady Luck: Today's WNBA best bets

Tulsa Shock at Atlanta Dream (-10.5, 178)

When it rains it pours for the Tulsa Shock.

The Shock, who are winless in their last five games, will be without starting guard Shanna Crossley for at least a week after she was hospitalized with a staph infection this past weekend.

“She will likely be out 8-10 days,” Tulsa coach Nolan Richardson told the Tulsa World. “There’s a possibility that she could come back a little sooner but to be safe, I’d say 8-10 days.”

Crossley is averaging almost 11 points per game and has cracked double figures in five of her 11 games this year, including a 20-point effort against the Chicago Sky at the beginning of the month.

“Her spirits are good,” Richardson said. “Her husband, Andrew, is here with her. She’s happy from the standpoint that it’s not as bad as it could have been. To me, it’s a matter of time for her to heal.”

This injury couldn’t come at a worse time. Tulsa lost its fifth straight game, falling 92-78 to the Minnesota Lynx Saturday and hasn’t covered a pointspread since June 4. This slump has dropped the Shock to 3-8 straight up and against the spread – dead last in the WNBA.

Pick: Atlanta

WNBA NEWS AND NOTES
WNBA Power Rankings
By Scott Stanchak, WNBA

The top two teams in our last rankings suffered losses this week, but that doesn’t mean they’ll lose their spots this week. Let’s take a look at where the rest landed.

2010 WNBA POWER RANKINGS

TEAM (last week) W / L NOTES

1
Seattle (1) 9-2 The Storm still have the best record in the league after Thursday night’s 65-72 loss to the Indiana Fever. Lauren Jackson, Camille Little and Sue Bird combined for 44 of Seattle’s total points. The Storm came into the game having won six in a row, five of those against Western Conference opponents, including a Phoenix team that is heating up. A rematch against Indiana is on the table for next Friday, so expect them to be extra prepared.
Next Three Games: 6/18 at New York, 6/20 vs. San Antonio, 6/25 vs. Indiana

2
Atlanta (2) 9-3 Despite having the second best record in the league, the Dream ran into a rough patch two weeks ago. They had lost three of four, and all of those defeats came by at least 10 points. A trip back home cured the woes, as the Dream knocked off the San Antonio Silver Stars, 90-83, last Sunday. Two nights later, in Chicago, they picked up yet another win behind forward Iziane Castro Marques’ 31 points. That victory was key because Atlanta had lost to the Sky during their losing stretch.
Next Three Games: 6/19 at Indiana, 6/23 vs. Tulsa, 6/27 vs. Los Angeles

3
Indiana (4) 7-4 The Fever are the league’s best defensive teams and showed that against the now 9-2 Storm. Seattle’s 65 points were the least they’ve scored in a game this year. Indiana, which has been holding opponents to a league-low 69 points a game thus far, only received 15 points from Katie Douglas and 12 from Tamika Catchings in the win. They’ll put their two-game win streak up against the No. 2 team in our rankings, the Dream, on Saturday. It’s a tough three-day stretch, but coming out victorious would be a monumental confidence boost.
Next Three Games: 6/19 vs. Atlanta, 6/25 at Seattle, 6/27 at Chicago

4
Washington (5) 6-4 Similar to Atlanta, the Mystics also endured a rough patch a few weeks back. Theirs, however, featured four losses in five games. They bounced back last weekend though with wins over two conference mates, the Sky and New York Liberty. Each game featured four players in double-figure scoring for the Mystics. Monique Currie’s (22 pts, 8 reb., 5 ast) performance in Friday’s 95-78 win in Chicago was perhaps the most impressive. The Mystics have just one game before next week’s rankings, a rematch against the Sky.
Next Three Games: 6/19 vs. Chicago, 6/24 vs. Los Angeles, 6/25 at Chicago

5
Connecticut (3) 6-3 Connecticut split a home-and-away weekend series with the Fever a few days ago. Game one featured guard Renee Montgomery bursting out for a season-high 29 points in the 86-77 win. Sunday’s loss, however, saw an uncharacteristic performance from rookie center Tina Charles. The “Rookie of the Year” candidate was held to a season-low two points and four rebounds in over 23 minutes of action. The Sun head out west now for a weekend road trip against Los Angeles and Phoenix. They’ve yet to win on the road this season so it’s important to come out of this swing on the positive end.
Next Three Games: 6/18 at Los Angeles, 6/20 at Phoenix, 6/22 vs. Chicago

6
Phoenix (6) 5-5 The Mercury will keep moving up the rankings if Diana Taurasi, who was named Player of the Week on Monday, can continue her torrid scoring streak. Taurasi averaged 23.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and four assists in three games starting last Tuesday. That resulted in surpassing Candace Parker as the league’s top scorer. The Mercury ended up winning two of those three games, including putting up a season-high 116 points at home against Tulsa. This week, the Mercury head to San Antonio and Connecticut for matchups against teams they’ve yet to play this season. Connecticut will be the tougher of the two as they’ve yet to lose in Mohegan Sun Arena.
Next Three Games: 6/18 vs. San Antonio, 6/20 vs. Connecticut, 6/25 at Connecticut

7
New York (9) 4-5 The Liberty start the trend in this week’s rankings of teams with sub .500 records. Despite being 4-5, they are still just 1.5 games out of the fourth playoff spot in the East with plenty of time to make up ground. Their position in the standings isn’t helped by the fact that all of their losses have come against teams in their own conference. This includes Saturday’s 65-82 loss in the nation’s capital. In that contest, New York wasn’t able to put up more than 19 points in any quarter. They also had 24 turnovers compared to Washington's eight. New York did, however, pick up a big 91-79 win against a good Atlanta squad on Friday.
Next Three Games: 6/18 vs. Seattle, 6/22 vs. Minnesota, 6/25 at Tulsa

8
Tulsa (8) 3-6 Things were looking so promising for this young Shock squad. Tulsa had won three of four after starting the season with back-to-back losses, pulling them into second place in the West. Then, things took a turn for the worse. The Shock have lost three straight, including one last Friday to a Silver Stars team that had lost four consecutive. The following night, in Phoenix, the Mercury beat them by 32 points. Tulsa looked to mix things up, so on Tuesday sent forward Plenette Pierson to the Liberty for forward Tiffany Jackson. Pierson (12.1 ppg, 2.5 rpg) had better offensive numbers than Jackson (4.3 ppg, 3.1 rpg) but the move might have been made to get younger at the spot. Jackson has just three years under her belt compared to Pierson’s seven.
Next Three Games: 6/18 at Minnesota, 6/19 vs. Minnesota, 6/23 at Atlanta

9
Chicago (7) 4-7 Four has been an interesting number for the Sky so far this season. First, they went on a four-game losing streak. They followed that up with a four-game win streak. Now they’re in the midst of three straight defeats and take on dangerous Washington on Saturday and Connecticut on Tuesday. Both earlier meetings with those teams this season have resulted in losses, so revenge will be on their mind. What’s even tougher to swallow regarding their back-to-back-to-back losses is that they all came on their home court at Allstate Arena.
Next Three Games: 6/19 at Washington, 6/22 at Connecticut, 6/25 vs. Washington

10
San Antonio (11) 3-6 Here’s a fun fact for you: Michelle Snow leads all players in votes for the 2010 “WNBA vs. USA Basketball: The Stars at the Sun” game. In second is her teammate Jayne Appel. On the floor, the team has been less successful, having lost five of their last six. They did pick up a victory against the Tulsa Shock on Friday. That meeting saw the return of Becky Hammon, who had been nursing a muscle strain. San Antonio couldn’t get a streak going though, as they fell to the Dream two nights later. Despite the 3-6 record, they’re in third place in the West, two games behind the second-place Mercury.
Next Three Games: 6/18 at Phoenix, 6/20 at Seattle, 6/26 vs. Minnesota

11
Los Angeles (10) 3-7 Los Angeles has struggled much of the season and things certainly won’t be getting any easier. It was announced late Thursday that former MVP Candace Parker would miss the remainder of the year after suffering a dislocated shoulder in last Sunday’s 88-84 victory over the Ly*x. Parker, one of the league’s top scorers and rebounders, also missed a good portion of last season after giving birth. Los Angeles has yet to streak this season and will look to do so on Friday night against the Sun.
Next Three Games: 6/18 vs. Connecticut, 6/24 at Washington, 6/27 at Atlanta

12
Minnesota (12) 2-9 There’s no hiding the fact that the Ly*x have been underperforming this season. Their 2-9 record is worst in the WNBA, and they’ve lost four straight, including two to teams currently with only three wins (Tulsa and Los Angeles). Not even the return of two-time All-Star Seimone Augustus could help. This weekend won’t get any easier for Minnesota, who takes on the Shock Friday and Saturday night in a home-and-away series. With a 1-2 record against Tulsa already in 2010, you’d hope they’ve picked up on something that could help them grab a W. On a positive note, the Ly*x do have six players averaging double-figure scoring, with two others just outside. The problem is, while they’re averaging 77 points a game, opponents are dropping 87.
Next Three Games: 6/18 vs. Tulsa, 6/19 at Tulsa, 6/22 at New York

SOCCER NEWS AND NOTES
What Bettors Need To Know: England vs. Slovenia
By Michael Da Silva

England (-303) vs. Slovenia (+500, 2.5)

England face Slovenia in what is a winner-takes-all final Group C game Wednesday. A draw will take Slovenia through but only a win is good enough for England, who have struggled to hit top form. While the game could be tense and cagey, England need goals, so it promises to be a fascinating encounter – if not a goal-fest.

Game Strategy

England have been in turmoil ever since Robert Green spilled Clint Dempsey’s shot into his own net 10 days ago. And the unrest has only intensified since Friday’s dire 0-0 draw with Algeria.

With John Terry unhappy with the Capello regime and talks of a coup backfiring on the former England captain, this England side are in danger of becoming the new France.

Following Terry’s emergence as England’s unsuccessful mutineer, Capello has almost taunted the man of whom he stripped of the team captaincy earlier this year.

"When you speak you have to speak privately," the England coach told Britain’s ITV. "This is the big mistake - a very big mistake. It's not revolution. It's the mistake of another player".

This was after Terry had said players had “things to get off their chest” and that some of the England squad could follow France’s Nicolas Anelka in catching the next flight home.

But the England players must put politics to one side if they are to avoid the airport.

It remains to be seen whether Capello will change his tactics to bring Chelsea’s Joe Cole into the starting 11, with England’s current forward line of Emile Heskey and Wayne Rooney struggling to find the net.

England are set to stick with David James between the posts, but the suspended Jamie Carragher is replaced by Matthew Upson is defence – Terry’s third central defensive partner in as many games.

Slovenia have quietly gone about their business of topping Group C with a win against Algeria and a draw against the USA.

The Slovenians are known for their tidy passing game and ability to keep the ball for long periods, with the likes of Robert Koren and Valter Birsa key to their hopes of sending England home.

Slovenia is a country of just 2 million, the smallest population of any team at the World Cup, giving their team slogan “Never Judge Greatness by Size” particular significance.

Their captain Robert Koren is a man full of confidence in his side's goal to dent the egos of England's Premier League stars and a firm believer in the slogan, which dominates their base in the wealthy Hyde Park area of Johannesburg.

"It was a big achievement for the country to come to the World Cup but now everybody wants to improve," he said.

"When we arrived in South Africa we said we wanted to go through the group stage and we are full of confidence that we can. We already expected before the tournament to go through the group stage, and this is still the same.

"We all know that England is a really good team with big players in their squad, but we are not thinking too much about England - we will concentrate on ourselves and the way we want to play."

Players To Watch

England – Steven Gerrard

In what has been a dismal World Cup for the English so far, Steven Gerrard has been one of the few players to have hit the heights of his club form, with that brilliantly crafted and finished goal against the USA.

Gerrard tends to thrive as captain, as he does at Liverpool. If he is played in the more advanced role that many think he should play in against Slovenia, he is likely to be a key influence and goal threat for England.

Slovenia – Milivoje Novakovic

Novakovic, who plies his trade for German side Cologne, is a lanky, long-haired beanpole of a striker whose sly, predatory penalty-box skills have seen him bag 14 goals in 39 international games.

Not quite as tall as Peter Crouch, but just as awkward to play against.

Know Your Enemy

The last meeting between these two sides was a closely-fought friendly at Wembley Stadium in September 2009. England came out 2-1 winners that day with goals from Frank Lampard and Jermain Defoe proving enough to clinch victory.

England’s central defenders that day, Matthew Upson and John Terry, were given an uncomfortable afternoon by Novakovic, who was a handful in attack.

But Slovenia, despite not coming away with the win, reduced England to a style that didn’t please Capello.

“The concentration was not good in the last four or five minutes,” Capello said. “We were too slow and tried to play a long ball. This is not how I want us to play. It was not good concentration from us — I want us to focus in every moment.”

Weather/Pitch

The weather for Wednesday’s crucial clash should suit both sides with it being typically European with highs of 70 degrees. But as the lights go out in Port Elizabeth, temperatures will drop as low as 50.

But with no rain forecast, there should be no greasy surfaces or slippery balls to worry about.

But something that is a concern to both sides is the pitch. The Port Elizabeth surface was badly cut up after Switzerland played Chile, and FIFA prevented both teams from training on it the night before the game. However, this could be less of a concern to England, who are used to playing on Wembley’s boggy pitch.

Stat Attack

On paper, the game is something of a mismatch. England has over 4,000 registered professional players, whilst Slovenia has 429. England have 42,490 different football clubs, whereas Slovenia has 257. And while Fabio Capello earns $10 million a year, Slovenia’s coach Matjaz Kek earns a measly $500,000.

Jermain Defoe played his 41st match for England against Algeria, but has never played a full 90 minutes.

Wayne Rooney has scored no goals and has no assists in seven appearances (523 mins) at the World Cup finals.

England have drawn 10 games 0-0 at World Cups, more than any other team in World Cup finals history.

PICKS FOR KICKS

Wednesday's Best World Cup Bets

United States (-175) vs. Algeria (+275, 2.5)

The United States thought it had put together one of the most incredible comebacks in World Cup history when it scored in the 85th minute to make it 3-2 against Slovenia, after trailing 2-0 last Friday.

However, a bad offside call from the official negated the goal and left the USA with another draw after tying England 1-1 in the opening game of Group C competition. That play let the air out of the Americans and has them still shaking their heads going into Wednesday’s final group game.

"I'm a little gutted to be honest," star forward Landon Donovan told reporters. "I don't know how they stole that last goal from us."

Algeria, on the other hand, is picking up momentum after a surprising draw with England, finishing 0-0 Friday. The Desert Foxes have yet to score a goal in their first two World Cup matches and have leaned on defense and solid goaltending from Rais Bolhi.

With the United States still trying to get the taste of last Friday’s game out of its mouth, don’t be surprised if Algeria sneaks one past a distracted USA squad while limiting its opponent to a goal.

Pick: Draw +220

Ghana (+385) vs. Germany (-232, 2.5)

The pressure is mounting on the Germans, who followed their brilliant 4-0 win over Australia in the opener with a shocking 1-0 loss to Serbia in Group D Friday. A loss to Ghana would send Germany packing after being tagged among the favorites to win the 2010 World Cup.

If Germany is to avoid this massive upset, it will need to do so without star striker Miroslav Klose, who was suspended due to cards. In his place, German manager Joachim Loew will go with Brazilian-born Cacau.

"Right now I have a tendency that Cacau can play from the beginning but Gomez and Stefan Kiessling have also shown committment and could be there from the start," Loew told the media.

"I could change positions. The last training is very important. After a defeat you consider all the possibilities. Right now, I have a tendency toward Cacau."

With the lineup getting a facelift, the Germans must also watch out for yellow cards. They were booked five times against Serbia and could lose players for the knockout stage if they get careless Wednesday.

"I have, of course, after the game against Serbia, reminded my team what it means going into tackles, that a yellow or red card can happen," Loew said.

With the frontline in flux and the Germans playing passive, don’t expect another four-goal explosion. Germany will score early and protect the lead for most of the game.

Hondo

Hondo took a double beating yesterday, losing first when he went against his core futbol beliefs with an "over" play in the Mexico-Uruguay tilt and again when the Blue Jays were bludgeoned.

Tonight, with the IOUs back up to 935 foys, he'll let Lackey do the dirty work and try a 10-unit play on the Sawx in Colorado.
